Yale Alumni Educators and 1stGenYale co-sponsored the Yale Book Award at Columbia Secondary School in New York. Grace Kim '22 and Lise Chapman '81 MBA presented Roxana Harris, a rising senior, with A Little History of Philosophy by Nigel Warburton, to which a Yale bookplate was affixed. Roxana, who was selected in consultation with Columbia Secondary School’s staff and faculty, received the award for her outstanding personal character and intellectual promise. The specially chosen book was intended to further her interests in philosophy, contributions to contrariwise (a student philosophy journal), and writings for the school newspaper.
