When Plans Change: Summer Jobs and Internships 2020

Once the coronavirus pandemic threw into doubt many students’ plans for summer work, Derek Webster ’99, associate director of Yale’s Office of Career Strategy, hosted a webinar in late March 2020 on ways to adapt. Providing a variety of OCS resources, he encouraged over 100 participants to network, to reach out to potential employers – especially in their local areas – and to seek opportunities to enhance their skills even if their internships were canceled.
