Summer Send-Off 2023

Over 50 incoming Yale College students in the Class of 2027 — from all five NY boroughs, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania — joined 15 alums for a send-off party in New York City on August 13.   

Alumni celebrated these new Yalies, gave advice about how to take advantage of all of Yale’s resources (including how to network beginning with the alums who were there), and listened to their stories and the excitement they had for the year ahead. After brief introductions, students heard from all alumni, and then alums and students met in small groups for a more personal touch. 

The send-off was co-hosted by the Yale Latino Alumni Network and 1stGenYaleNYC. Juan Carlos Johnny Salinas ’03 MFA provided delicious Thai food, pizza, and beverages for all.
