Washington DC College Application Workshop

In October 2024 the Yale Club of Washington DC and the 1stGenYale DC chapter brought Yale alumni volunteers together with KIPP DC College Prep High School seniors for a college application workshop. It was inspiring for alumni to meet eager students, learn about their college expectations, and share first-hand knowledge of how to prepare for and apply to college. The alums also enjoyed connecting with each other and sharing their various commitments to promoting higher education. Nancy Edwards '88, Yale Club of WDC Programs, and Barb Protacio '81, 1stGenYale DC co-lead, collaborated on this service project.
