Warm Up and Suit Up, 2022

Updated: Aug 13

1stGenYale executive board member and treasurer Joanne Siu ’90 spearheaded Warm Up and Suit Up, a drive in the San Francisco Bay area to collect new and gently used professional and winter clothing for first-gen low-income Yale students. With four drop-off points around San Francisco, as well as two summer picnic events, she and other alums in YaleWomen and the Association of Asian American Yale Alumni (which co-sponsored the drive) gathered enough clothing to fill three racks and seven tables. Even after distributing items to San Francisco Bay area students, the group was left with enough clothing to stock another event, to be held during winter break.
