On July 13, 2025, 1stGenYale proudly co-sponsored a Summer Picnic with the Association of Asian American Yale Alumni of Northern California and the Yale Club of Silicon Valley at Marlin Park in Redwood City. From 11:30 AM–2:00 PM, alumni, current students, incoming students, and their families gathered to celebrate the newly admitted Class of 2029—just ahead of the exciting moment when students would receive their residential college and roommate assignments.

Yale admitted 2,308 students from a record pool of 50,228 applicants, representing all 50 states, the District of Columbia, four U.S. territories, and 65 countries, with interests spanning 83 undergraduate programs. With more than 50 students joining Yale from the greater Northern California area, the picnic was a joyful opportunity to welcome them warmly and share the Bulldog spirit that makes the Yale community so special.
