1stGenYale is proud to announce the appointment of four new members to its Board of Directors for a three-year term, effective January 2026. We welcome Jose Diaz de Leon MPH ’21, Carla Rangel ’24, Evelyn Letona-Robles ’25, and Brian Zhang ’25. Each new member was approved by unanimous vote. These individuals bring a deep commitment to supporting Yale’s first-generation and low-income (FGLI) students and alumni, along with a wide range of professional experience and leadership skills.

Yale's Poorvu Center in Sterling Memorial Library hummed with 146 undergrad and grad students who practiced job-seeking skills and explored summer opportunities at the inaugural 1stGenYale Summer Bulldogs Summer Internship Fair on September 26, 2025. This is 1stGenYale's sixth year of connecting Yale students to summer internships (309 interns with $1.2 million in Yale-sourced funding from 2020-2024), but this time with an in-person event instead of a managed hiring program operated virtually.
